Corecess 6800-MPC

The Corecess 6800-MPC is a high-performance IP based DSL Access Multiplexor that can be used by service providers interested in offering broadband multi-service features on the last mile access network over copper based local loops. It supports both symmetrical and asymmetrical DSL interfaces and provides speeds of up to 24 Mbps downstream whilst still maintaining backward compatibility with older standards. The equipment supports Triple Play Services (TPS) - the concurrent provision of Broadband Internet access, Voice over IP and Video on Demand.

Corecess 6800-MPC is engineered to provide intelligent IP services as networks evolve. Both SHDSL, ADSL and ADSL2+ blades are available and it delivers advanced IP services that include L3 QoS, multicast, subscriber management. These service features, stave off clogging and congestion of the bandwidth available to the users allowing smooth, easy and efficient passage of video, voice and data packets across the networks, which also enables operators to increase their revenues and maximize their profits.

Corecess 6800-MPC intelligently and economically combines two network devices into one efficient system. Compared to legacy DSL systems, the Corecess 6800-MPC system combines the functionalities of a legacy DSLAM and a Router into one compact system. The superior and feature rich design makes Corecess 6800-MPC an economical solution for the latest generation of broadband access platforms.

The 6800-MPC shelf contains 18 vertical slots for upto two MPC core cards and sixteen 24 port ADSL, ADSL2+ or SHDSL line cards in any combination. The shelf can be used in either 19inch, ETSI or 23inch racks making it suitable for any central office location.
