Corecess 7124

The Corecess 7124 is an SHDSL, temperature hardened mini-DSLAM designed for use in cabinets, vaults or buildings outside the Central Office which demand a rugged design and high performance. Available with 24 ports the Corecess 7124 is a compact, one 1U high DSLAM that is ideal for a variety of applications and service needs.

Using standards compliant TC-PAM SHDSL with ATM transmission convergence, the Corecess 7124 delivers 24 ports at up to 2.3Mbps over one copper pair or 12 ports at up to 4.6Mbps over two copper pairs. With growing demand for peer-to-peer networking along with in-house web hosting, the availability of SHDSL enables service providers to offer high bandwidth symmetrical internet access with high quality of service.

The Corecess 7124 offers dual port 10/100BaseT and 100BaseFX uplinks for connection to the IP backbone. The Corecess 7124 is a full-featured intelligent IP DSLAM. For video triple play services, the Corecess 7124 includes IP functionality such as IGMP V2 snooping, 802.1p QoS/VLAN tagging and 802.1p CoS to support broadcast and VoD services. New error correction and high performance packet processing are also incorporated to enhance video capabilities.

The compact design of the unit can be used in 19inch, ETSI or 23inch racks, and can be either AC or DC powered. As it is a self contained unit, with ventilation on both sides, the Corecess 7124 is easy to install and can be mounted with very limited space utilization in a cabinet or building.
